When You're Alone

Talk to your parents about the rules to follow when you are by yourself or home alone. Make a plan with your parents about what you want to do while you are alone, and then stick to it. Questions like, can you answer the door, use the oven, or talk on the phone should be addressed in your plan for when you’re alone. It is important to empower yourself to make the right decisions when you are not with a parent or guardian.
